
ABOUT US
UNC Finance Society
The UNC Finance Society (UFS) is a student-run organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that aims to educate students on finance-related topics and facilitate strong internship recruiting placement. Specifically, UFS hosts nearly all corporate-related finance events on campus, conducts finance training presentations, and manages the finance listserv for UNC. Students must be members of UFS to attend these on-campus recruiting events or receive the UNC finance listserv. To join, please sign up and pay your semesterly dues here.
Additionally, UFS has 4 main subsidiary clubs, which operate independently but receive their funding from UFS:
1. UNC Portfolio Management Team - Highly selective student-run investment fund mainly geared towards underclassmen and helping them place into top internships. Manages ~$100k AUM.
2. UNC Wealth Management Association - A student-led educational club with WMA Fund, covering Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Equities, designed for students interested in asset allocation and wealth management.
3. UNC Reynolds Fund - Highly selective student-run investment fund mainly geared towards upperclassmen who
have secured their primary internship offers. Manages ~$600k AUM.
4. Credit & Restructuring Club - Educational club open to all class years, focused on credit and restructuring career education sessions, corporate events, case study competitions, and more.

Education
UFS hosts 10s of finance education events each semester. These range from introductions to investment banking to DCF model walkthroughs
Corporate Events
UFS is the backbone of UNC's relationship with corporate partners for undergraduate recruiting. We independently host 40+ companies for recruiting events each semester, ranging from coffee chats with Goldman Sachs to info sessions from Centerview.
Newsletter
UFS has built a comprehensive newsletter that includes all current finance internship opportunities available to each grade of students, recent finance news, upcoming finance events at UNC, and additional study resources for finance technicals
Groupchat
UFS operates a 700+ person member-exclusive group chat in which upperclassmen regularly answer questions from underclassmen in a timely manner and send every major internship opportunity the day each application opens
Where Do We Work?

Faculty Advisor
Pramita Saha
Pramita Saha, executive director of the Center for Excellence in Investment Management at UNC Kenan-Flagler, brings over 15 years of experience in capital markets, sales and trading, and investment banking, and is passionate about educating and supporting students in finance and investments. She teaches experiential courses, advises student clubs and competitions, and leads the center’s programs, partnerships, and strategic initiatives to prepare students for careers in capital markets.
